Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You #2

It is wonderful that Stampin’ Up! will carry the Beautiful You stamp set into their 2017-2018 annual catalog. The stamp set is absolutely enchanting! Tomorrow, I’ll be posted another card using the Beautiful You stamp set with a design similar to this card.

Rich Razzleberry was used to stamp the front and interior of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Blooms & Wishes

Image of card front with flowers, ribbon, and framed oval in the center with the sentiment, "I Would Be Lost Without You"Sometimes it is fun to create your own designer series paper. In this case I used flower and leaf stamps from the Blooms & Wishes photopolymer stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

First cut papers per dimensions that are posted following the supply list.

On a panel of Whisper White use flowers and leaves from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set and stamp randomly about the panel to create a unique designer series paper. For the flowers I used Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum ink and stamped off before stamping the pane. The leaves were stamped in Mint Macaron. The message panel was stamped with a flower in Sweet Sugarplum.

Illustration of rounding corners using the "Reverse Punch" of the Envelope Punch BoardRounding Corners

Using the Reverse Punch (corner rounding) on the Envelope Punch Board, round the four corners of the scored and folded base card and each of the Whisper White panels.

Layering ovals were used to create the the cut out shape in the center of the newly created designer series panel.

The ribbon was tied around before the designer series panel was adhered to the card base.

Stampin’ Up! Affectionately Yours DSP for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Logo for Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

It’s that time again! Time for another Inkin’ Krew blog hop. This month we are creating projects for Mother’s Day or a feminine card. I’ve chosen to feature the specialty designer series paper Affectionately Yours. This DSP is truly magnificent but, sadly, will not be available from Stampin’ Up! after May 31st, 2017.

Completed greeting card with a Night of Navy card stock base trimmed with a piece of colorful flowers from the Affectionately Yours specialty designer series paper.

The specialty designer series paper Affectionately Yours is truly magnificent and, sadly, will not be available from Stampin’ Up! after May 31st, 2017. The sentiment is the only “stamping” on this particular card, making this a very quick and easy creation. The sentiment, “Hoping Your Day IS Perfect,” is versatile and the hand written interior message can pin point the occasion—birthday, thank-you, etc., or can easily be used to send a simple note.

As usual, I started my project by cutting out the card stock (please see measurements near the end of this post.

Night of Navy card stock, card base, torn.

The base of the card is Night of Navy with a landscape orientation. Beginning about one-third of the way from the top, I tore the paper to produce the ragged look.

gold ribbon on card with Affectionately Yours specialty designer series paper adhered below the tear line on the base card.Next I wrapped the 1/8″ On-Trend Gold Ribbon and tied a bow on the top part of the Night of Navy card front. The piece of Affectionately Yours specialty designer series paper was then adhered with SNAIL to the front of the card beneath the Night of Navy.

Sentiment, "Hopping Your Day is Perfect embossed in gold with circular die placed on the Daffodil Delight card stock for cutting

I stamped the sentiment from the Suite Sentiments stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a scrap of Daffodil Delight card stock, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and heat embossed it. The sentiment was then cut our with a circle from the Stitched Frames framelits dies.

The sentiment was adhered to the front of the card using dimensionals.

A piece of the dark Affectionately Yours Washi Tape was placed near the bottom of the interior message panel of the card.

You’ll find a complete list of supplies for this project, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Special Reason Bundle

Front of card with two delicate flowers in Blushing Bride with two leaves in Mint Macaron. A piece of Blushing Bride ribbon is tied to the front above the sentiment, "Congratulations."

Supply List to Make All Four Cards

Stampin’ Up! Autism Matters Blog Hop

Banner reading, "April is National Autism Awareness Month," and keywords: "awareness," "action," "Inclusion," "Acceptance," and "Appreciation."

Autism is the fastest growing disability among children in the US?

The intent of this blog is to raise awareness and funds for autism related research, resources and services for those affected by autism and to advocate for the needs of those with autism.  Autism statistics from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identify around 1 in 68 American children as on the autism spectrum–a ten-fold increase in prevalence in 40 years.  It is now more common in the United States than pediatric AIDS, juvenile diabetes, and childhood cancer combined.

In order to honor Autism Speaks, I’ve used the bold colors from their logo to create a birthday card. I used the My Hero and Window Shopping stamp sets as well as the Cupcake Cutouts and Large Letters framelits dies.

When I plan a card, I like to gather the card stock first. Once I’ve decided upon the color combinations with which I’m happy, then I cutout the card stock pieces (see card stock cuts below).

This simple card requires only one ink pad—real red. It was used to stamp the “Celebrate” banner from the My Hero stamp set on the Whisper White scrap. Real Red was also used to stamp “Happy Birthday” from the Window Shopping stamp set on the yellow message panel for the interior of the card.

"Happy Birthday" stamped with red ink on yellow card stock.

I had some blue glimmer paper in my stash (Stampin’ Up!’s white, red, silver or gold gilmmer paper would work well, also) and thought it would be perfect for this project. The letters for “YOU” were cut from the glimmer paper with the Large Letter framelits dies.

The card layers were assembled using SNAIL permanent adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to adhere the “Celebrate” banner to the front of the card.

Thanks for viewing the posts in this very special blog hop! If you’d like to help with research and services for those affected by autism, please make a donation to Autism Speaks. It is as easy as clicking on the heart banner immediately below.

Stampin’ Up! Make a Medallion

When I saw this card on a blog of my colleague, Jaimie, I just knew that I was going to CASE it. Make a Medallion is a free stamp set in the 2017 Sale-A-Bration catalog. Like, Jaimie, I used a duo of colors—Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.

I would not have been able to accomplish this three step stamping had it not been for my Misti Stamping Tool. The tool allows us to place a piece of card stock and then line up the stamp exactly where it needs to be in order to get a nice compilation every time.

The end of the annual Sale-A-Bration promotion ends on March 31st. If you’ve not already taken advantage of the promotion, hurry to see how many ways you can earn free products.
