Stampin’ Up! Seaside Shore

As we approach the summer, I find myself being called to the Seaside Shore. Some of my favorite childhood memories are about the week our family would spend at Short Sands in York, Maine. How we loved to collect shells and watch the little critters of the sea.

"Ahoy There!" A dry embossed Soft Sky panel with a center panel of star fish and beach bubbles with two fish stamped in Calypso Coral.

The layout for this card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #284.

Freshly Made Sketches number 284 with center vertically framed panel and element in the lower left and upper right of the card front.

The coordinating papers in the By the Shore DSP makes for a quick selection of colors to use in the card. Paper and card stock dimensions are posted later in this post.

For this card I also stamped my images on a piece of of the DSP. The sentiment from the Seaside Shore stamp set was stamped in Calypso Coral.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You #3

Here is another card similar to the Beautiful You card (#2) that I posted a few days ago. The main difference is that this card has a softer look because of its rounded corners. The Reverse Punch (corner rounder) on the Envelope Punch Board was used to round the four corners of the scored and folded base card as well as the Whisper White panel.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You #2

It is wonderful that Stampin’ Up! will carry the Beautiful You stamp set into their 2017-2018 annual catalog. The stamp set is absolutely enchanting! Tomorrow, I’ll be posted another card using the Beautiful You stamp set with a design similar to this card.

Stampin’ Up! Reverse Words

Image of the Whisper White and Peekaboo Peach card stock and Peekaboo Peach ribbon used in this card project.

This quick and easy card was created using one of the free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets called Reverse Words. In order to help to keep the card clean and simple, I used a duo of colors for my palette—Peekaboo Peach and Whisper White.

Card front sporting the color Peekaboo Peach and the sentiment "Cheers."

The card stock (cuts listed near the end of the post) used for this project were Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White, and the 2016–2018 In Color designer series paper stack.

The sentiment, “Just a Note,” is from the Better Together stamp set was used on the Whisper White interior message panel.

I find rounded corners soft and pleasing. Stampin’ Up! has two products that we may use for this purpose—the Project Life Corner Punch or the corner punch that is part of the Envelope Punch Board.

The end of the annual Sale-A-Bration promotion ends on March 31st. If you’ve not already taken advantage of the promotion, hurry to see how many ways you can earn free products.

Penned & Painted

It is hard to believe that two months of 2017 have already passed. Soon it will be SPRING and I can’t wait. I’m a big fan of the two (or more) step stamps that have been developed by Stampin’ Up! The two step stamps give added interest and dynamics to any stamping project. For this project I’m using the delightful Penned and Painted photopolymer stamp set.

Image of the completed card front displaying a pink flower with green stem and leaves; pink ribbon and three layers of card stock, as well as the sentiment, "wishing you a beautiful day."

Instructions

Image displaying card stock and ribbon for the project: Sweet Sugarplum card stock and ribbon; Whisper White card stock; and Succulent Garden designer series paper

The checkered pattern in Whisper White and Sweet Sugar plum is refreshing and makes a nice layering panel for the lovely flower in the Penned & Painted stamp set.

At the beginning of a project I like to get my card stock trimmed to size first (card stock cutting dimensions are located later in this blog).

For this card all of the stamping is done using the three Whisper White pieces of Card stock. The sentiment is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White and cut out using the Classic Label punch. One of the border stamps from the Delicate Details photopolymer stamp set (a free Sale-A-Bration item) was used to stamp a border at the base of the interior message panel. The flower and leaves are stamped on the Whisper White layering panel.

The image immediately above demonstrates the two step stamping process that is used with the Penned & Painted stamps. The stem and leaves also use two steps for stamping.

Adhere the stamped front panel to the Sweet Sugarplum layering panel, and add the ribbon tied in a bow. Dimensionals are used to adhere this top layer to the card base layered with the DSP.

This lovely card can be used for almost any occasion.
